, NATURAL : AFRICA, KENYA (MULTI-CENTRE
HOLIDAY)
IN KENYA'S NATIVE SWAHILI, THE WORD ‘SAFARI’ TRANSLATES TO
'JOURNEY’

Kenya is located in East Africa. It is home to stunning beaches and a large number of wildlife parks and reserv
home to the following animals lions, giraffes, wildebeests, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras and the enda
Black Rhino. People come from all over the world for the sole purpose of going on a safari to see these beauti
up close and in their natural habitat, rather than visiting these animals at a local zoo trapped behind bars.

Another reason why people might go on holiday to Kenya is to volunteer. The company ‘African Impact’ offer
volunteering projects. They offer a package called Big Cat Wildlife Research and Conservation at the famous
National Reserve. Assist in the conservation efforts of the Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya's Masai Mara Rese
monitoring wildlife and conducting important research. The loss of wildlife in the area has been devastating
years due to increased human settlement in and around the Masai Mara. As a wildlife volunteer, you will go o
research drives to do game counts, document big cat sightings, locate big cats for the reserve’s tourists (the
increasing the attraction of the reserve as a tourist destination, which helps keep the conservancy running in
term), and you will assist with teaching and other development work in the local community. If you’re lucky,
to witness one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Great Migration, while you’re there. Volunteer
project is simply one of the most rewarding ways to go on safari!

, NATURAL : AFRICA,
KENYA (MULTI-CENTRE
HOLIDAY)
Both of these reasons also have the same thing in common, they
both set out to educate the person who's on holiday. And some
people come for this very reason.
The tour operator Kuoni offer a multi centre safari holiday to Kenya.
Multi-Centre means that your will travel to different places and stay
overnight rather than just staying in the same hotel.
