M2 progresses naturally from P3. It requires learners to explain how the factors and features described in P3 appeal to different types of visitor for their two selected European leisure destinations. For both destinations learners should consider at least two different types of customer at this level. For example, Paris has lots of provision for school groups and has ample daytime activities from the cultural (eg the Louvre) to fun activities such as Disneyland Paris. In addition, in the summer a beach area is created on the banks of the river Seine. Travel time is short and can be very cost effective by coach or budget airline. There are three airports with public transport links which along with the metro, mean that a coach is not required once the city is reached. There is a good choice of budget-priced accommodation specifically for students and a range of low-priced fast food outlets. Paris can appeal equally to couples looking for something special and is widely acknowledged as being a romantic city, ideal for honeymooners or couples celebrating an anniversary. It is easily accessible by air by scheduled airline form many regional airports or by Eurostar, making it suitable for short breaks. Paris has a wide range of centrally-located quality accommodation, fine restaurants and international cabarets and entertainment. Couples can wander among the artists in Montmartre, browse through renowned art galleries, take in magnificent views from the top of the Eiffel Tower and relax on cruises on the river Seine. There are also exceptional shopping opportunities ranging from designer fashions to antiques.

Barcelona

Students, Couples and Businessmen:

As stated on my P3, flights to Barcelona varies from cheap to slightly
expensive, depending on what airline you fly with and whether you’re flying
in economy class or first class. Therefore, the accessibility for Barcelona
appeals to students as well as couples because the students school would
want them to go on the cheapest available flight possible. So, with airlines
like EasyJet, they can do just that. As for the couples, because the majority of
the couples worldwide tend to be saving money for personal matters
(upcoming wedding perhaps), availability of cheap transportation is
convenient for them. In non-popular months (all months except June, July
and august), EasyJet airline has flights flying to Barcelona at different times of
the day from just £28.49. Therefore, flying anytime between September and
May appeals mostly to students and couples as the ticket cost is within their
price range. Another reason on why this appeals to students is because on
their way back, the return ticket will cost them less. To be precise, the return
ticket will cost them £19.49. Also, because the flights are very cheap,
anybody can afford them therefore it appeals to all tourist’s types especially
students as well as couples as the prices are affordable by all. EasyJet airline
has planes that fly at different times in the day, which is among the reasons
on why accessibility for Barcelona appeals to students and couples because
with the alternate departure times, they won’t be forced to fly at a certain
time that might be inconvenient for them, but they can choose which time
fits them best. For instance, students can catch the morning flight and arrive
in Barcelona early in the day to make the most of their day. Alternatively, if
they want to catch the afternoon flight and arrive sometime in the evening,
they can. This appeals to a wider range of people (that includes students as
