 Cognitive psychologists have often compared the human brain to a
computer.
 Compare it to how we input information store it then output it.
 During the process stage we actively use the cognitive process of
perception, attention and memory so it is compared to the hardware
of a computer.

Example:
- The multistore model of memory by Atkinson and Shiffrin in
1968.
- Information is input to the brain through the eyes/ senses 
short term memory store long term memory store.  it is then
output when needed.
