Objectives of campaign - I’m doing my campaign on domestic abuse as I believe a
change needs to be made and I would like to be a part of it. This campaign is going to
ensure the safety of the victims of domestic abuse, by providing all the help and support
they may need. The message I will be delivering is, if you're not going to report the
abuse for yourself then can you report it for me, for the other vulnerable young girls and
women, for the innocent children in the world. Do it for us. My biggest goal is to achieve
a change in the law in which if the victim chooses to report the case, the offender must
be detained until the court case, without having any communication with the victim. I will
use social media as well as leaflets to help gain awareness for my campaign.
My target audience is young females and those that have been a victim of domestic
abuse in the past. I want this selection to be my center of attention for my campaign as I
want the entire population of young females to be made aware of what exactly is
domestic abuse, and the actions of people that may be something to watch out for. I
want them to help me change the world for women. For the past victims, I want any
actions done towards them to be reported, I want the perpetrator punished. Using these
people I want to build an army, to fight against domestic abuse. I’m targeting these
specific people as I feel as if it affects young women more than it does for anyone else,
and a change needs to happen immediately. For those that are past victims I want them
to help me get the message across that going through domestic abuse is nothing to be
ashamed of, I need them to help me, help those who need the support.
To first get my campaign to have any publicity I will share around my campaign on
social media (instagram) and hope that my peers will do the same. I think instagram will
be the best media platform to introduce my campaign as i think most young females do
use instagram. I want to have built a small audience before moving to my next stage, I
also wish to have created a social media page entirely for my campaign. I hope that
through the use of my social media account, people will be made aware of my
campaign. Once this is the case I want to deliver flyers to houses in all different
locations, in which any information on how to help will be on it. I hope to deliver no less
than 150 leaflets to locations all around the borough of Richmond. The information on
how to help will also be accessible on my social media account set up for my campaign.
I want to have a small group (4 or 5 people) in which we will work to bring more
attention to my campaign. My goal with this group is to deliver posters to hospitals,
schools and wherever else, while wearing merchandise from the campaign. I will be
going to secondary schools and above as I feel like primary school students are not
