Unit 5: International Business
Introduction:
In this report I conducted research into two opposing worldwide
businesses located in the United States and India: Mcdonalds and apple.
The purpose of this study was to find an answer to the question, "Why
trade internationally?" My research discusses all the requirements for
distinction, as well as the proper structure and layout required to achieve
these high marks. I will be clarifying why two businesses work in
differentiating worldwide markets, sorts of back accessible for worldwide
commerce, primary highlights of globalization that influence two
differentiating businesses, part of exchanging coalitions on universal
exchange, the bolster that's accessible to differentiating businesses that
work universally, the obstructions of working universally for two
differentiating businesses and affect of globalization on a commerce.
Apple: The company Apple is a global technology company that is based
in the United States and has a focus on consumer devices, software, and
Internet services. As of January 2021, Apple is the company that
generates the most revenue in the world and creates the most
technology. Apple is the fourth largest PC and smartphone manufacturer
in the world (as of 2021). Along with Amazon, Google, Microsoft and
Facebook, he is a member of the Big Five American information
technology company.
List of counties apple operate: United States, Japan, United Kingdom,
Canada, Italy, Australia, China, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain,
Hong Kong, Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, Turkey, Belgium, United Arab
Emirates, Macau, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Austria,
Thailand
Mcdonalds: In 1940, a restaurant called McDonald's was founded by
Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California. McDonald's
employs more than 1.7 million people worldwide, making it the second
largest private employer in the world. McDonald's will be the ninth most
valuable brand in the world by 2020.
List of counties McDonalds: United States, Japan, China, Germany,
Canada, France, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Spain,
South Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Mexico, Poland, Malaysia, India, Turkey
Why do they operate internationally?
Usa:
McDonald's is the world's largest fast-food brand, operating in 118
countries, more than five times Apple's currently. McDonald's is known for

, its burgers, and for providing fast food service the likes of which the
industry has never seen. McDonald's adopts a matrix organizational
structure. There are multiple leadership lines to report on. Multiple
bosses are present. McDonald's benefits from a matrix structure that
enables efficient communication between branches and ensures that the
products and services they offer are of high quality everywhere.
McDonald's has decided to expand its business beyond the U.S.
Technology is a very advanced sector, so Apple operates in developed
markets. Their prices are also quite high, so their products are not
available to everyone. This usually means driving and concentrating
product sales in a rich economy, knowing that Apple will generate more
revenue. McDonald's, on the other hand, is traded in most markets
because fast food is a highly competitive industry and competition
requires lower prices to attract customers. McDonald's prices are
generally low and reasonably priced, so you can access and buy products
even in economies with limited financial resources.
Looking at both companies, McDonald's can be as big as a store, as we
have 14,000 stores in US and Apple has only 281 wealthy people who
want to keep their data safe. I understand.
India
Mcdonalds is quite popular than apple because how they adapt to their
market and culture. Mcdonalds doesn’t have as many stores as us but
they over 160 stores around the country and their prices in India is so
cheap so every Indian can afford it and that’s how McDonalds is more
successful than apple.
Apple is growing in India as more people getting to know the phone and
more people can afford the phones now, but apple made a mistake while
entering the Indian market because they won't get the market with the
price, they enter with they should've entered with lower price and then
slowly they should've increased the price.
As compared to US both businesses are not grown in India but as India
are developing country so as the country are growing, and more people
can afford to buy stuff because more jobs are getting created so people
are able to eat Mcdonal's and they are able to buy apple products.
The type of finances available:
Prepaid by importers, letters of credit, export credits and bank loans are
options for both companies when trading abroad. Prepaid by the importer
allows the item to be paid before it is exported, helping the exporter
mitigate risk. However, this is one of the least attractive payment
methods for importers and they want to see what they paid for. Letters of
