Patriarchy is bad for everyone.
“Patriarchy” is the concept that men and masculinity are better, stronger, and more respectable than
women, nonbinary people and femininity.
We live in a patriarchal society- one that’s designed to benefit men by teaching us that they are
stronger, that their opinions hold more weight, and that they should be dominant (sexually and
otherwise), and that they are more capable of holding power.
We know that these ideas hurt people who aren’t men - but patriarchy is bad for men too!
