Hetvik zalavadiya unit cd assignment coca cola

Introduction
In this assignment I will be exploring, assessing and
evaluating the effects of changes in the external, internal &
competitive environments on coca cola company
Coca cola
Coca-Cola is a soft drink made by The Coca-Cola Corporation that is
carbonated.

It was invented by John Stith Pemberton in the late 19th century and was
bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose commercial tactics led
Coca-Cola during the 20th century to dominate the global soft drink industry.

Political

Coca Cola is a company that depends extensively on government policy
surrounding the use of sugar and caffeine. And Coca Cola is required to change
the chemical ingredients of their beverages in some regions as lawmakers
become more stringent on certain aspects due to the degradation of the
general conditions in the health situation. They are also vulnerable to reform in
countries where policymakers have not yet taken a stand on such issues.

Another imminent danger to Coca Cola is the increase in taxes on sugar
production in the UK, which is one of its major markets. In the different
countries in which it has its factories located, the organisation is highly
dependent on tax control.( https://www.who.int/bulletin/volumes/97/12/19-
234542/en/)as it says in this article that in 2018 you have to pay £0.24 for per
litre and in 2010 they have to pay tax puts a charge of 24p on drinks containing
8g of sugar per 100ml and 18p a litre on those with 5-8g of sugar per 100ml.

Economic factor

An aspect that affects Coca Cola in different ways is the ingestion of water in
tremendous amounts. The organisation is expected to devote a large portion
of its spending on addressing problems with the water shortage and ensuring

that the needs for water are fulfilled. The global economic downturn has also
badly affected the brand, as Coca Cola is still seen as a luxury commodity in
many countries, and such products are bound to lose sales in times of crisis.

The rising cost of raw materials is a source of concern. Coca-Cola uses a few
very basic ingredients in its products, and the costs of these ingredients are
also rising. It is inevitable that the organisation will relocate its manufacturing
base to other countries where raw material costs are lower.
higher-commodity-costs.html) In this article it shown that due inflation the
price for raw material is increased from 2018 to 2021. As the price of raw
materials increase the price of coca cola increase because it cost more money
to make so they will charge us more money.

Social factor

The most significant societal factor affecting Coca-Cola is a change in consumer
attitudes. Because of the health risks associated with carbonated beverages,
millennial and Gen-X consumers are increasingly moving to energy drinks.
Long-term Coca-Cola consumption has been linked to diseases like obesity, and
these factors have recently come to light.

One of the ways the firm has reintroduced itself is by products like 'Coke Zero'
and other low-calorie labels. These aerated drinks have been welcomed by the
new generation and they are health conscious. Nonetheless, by looking at
global issues, soda and aerated drinks have seen a steady fall in sales.

There are also questions about Coca-cultural Cola's effects. The brand has been
considered very harmful to habitats and livelihoods in many third-world
countries, and as a result, individuals do not accept it. Many Middle Eastern
countries continue to prohibit the launch of the brand because it is an
American product. Coca-Cola continues to target emerging markets in order to
maintain its largest growth sector.

Technological factor

Ad focused on social media has turned out to be a boon for the company. In
the different social media sites, it has one of the largest follower bases, and it
uses these platforms very aggressively to advertise for its goods. Coca Cola
