Brief background history of NatWest:
National Westminster Bank, commonly known as NatWest, is a major retail and
commercial bank in the United Kingdom. It was established in 1968 by the merger of
National Provincial Bank and Westminster Bank. In 2000, it became part of The Royal
Bank of Scotland Group, which was re-named NatWest Group in 2020.

P1. Explain how a large business recruits and selects giving reasons for their
processes.
Workforce planning:
NatWest
In organization such as NatWest would follow a recruitment process to identify
the best people.
NatWest must first recognize the company vacancies. Vacancy may be due to a
need for replacement for either a resignation, promotion, relocation or
recruitment from another agency. Vacancies may arise. Furthermore, vacancies
may arise from the creation of a new department or a new product. Because of
lockdown people have to use their mobile banking app so in future people are use
to of using online banking so NatWest need to recruit people to handle online

, banking and update the app every week so they need to hire people to do that
that’s why the vacancies will rise after lockdown.
Secondly, NatWest must define its role and stress the roles and duties it wants. A
bank cashier for NatWest, for example, needs to communicate with clients by
assisting them, the work is often reasonably sales focused, so that you need to
care about your foot and the future sales to support the industry to accomplish its
goals. You would also have to execute fundamental bank transfers, such as
withdraw cash, check statements, payments processing, exchanging funds,
upgrading account data. Therefore, if NatWest wishes to hire the right candidates
for its work, it must detail the job description and describe what the workers
expect.
NatWest would then write a specification for a person. The criteria for the
individual is a definition of the abilities, qualifications, expertise, experience,
understanding and other qualities an applicant needs to have for the tasks. The
purpose of speciation is to encourage the search of the most talented people for
NatWest. For example, if an entity as a bank manager is applying for a post in
NatWest, he or she has to have strong communication skills, coordination and
basic computer skills, including word processing, databases, and e-mails. The bank
manager must be competent in handling the project management team or
individuals. You need a degree or post-graduate degree in Business, Accounting,
Economics or other related disciplines to become a NatWest Boss.
Following that, NatWest would advertise the openings to recruit skilled staff.
NatWest can use internal strategies to encourage a vacancy; internally recruiting
means workers still with the corporation can fill the vacancy. The work posting is
one example of an internal method; if an employer notify current workers of a
potential job vacancy, ads can appear on the company's newsletter.
announcement This is also achieved where a business department needs more
support to reach the time limit. NatWest, however, can still advertise external
openings, meaning those outside the company can advertise vacancies. This can
be accomplished by writing on the NatWest website about new openings.
NatWest can also put flyers to attract employees' interest.
