Otzi the lceman
Otzi is a nickname given to the welt-preserved natural
mummy of a man who lived between 3400 and 3100
BCE. He was found frozen.
Known for: Oldest natural mummy of a Chalcolithic
(Copper Age) European man
Berezovka Mammoth
It's 1901 and a team of scientists from St Petersburg has
just been dispatched to retrieve a mammoth specimen
recently discovered by local hunters in northern Siberia.
The journey took them several months and when the
expedition finally arrived they discovered the mammoth,
still pattially embedded in the banks ot the Berezovka
River (sometimes Beresovka) and beginning to decay as
it defrosted. Piece of it exposed and the rest preserved in
ice.
Petrified forest in Arizona
Petrified Forest National Park is a Unlted Sfates
national park in Navajo and Apache counties in
northeastern Arizona. Named for its large deposits of
petrified wood, the fee area of the park covers about
230 square miles (600 square kilometers),
encompasslng semi-desert shrub steppe as wel/ as
highly eroded and colortul badlands. Valcono erupted

Laetoli footprints
Laetoli is a site in Tanzania, dated to the Plio-Pleistocene and famous
for its hominin footprints, preserved in volcanic ash. The site of the
Laetoli footprints is located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge. The
tocation and tracks were discovered by archaeologist Mary Leakey in
1976, and were excavated by 792s. Hominid species and
shows bipedal movements
