A. 3 Competencies
I have learned many competencies through the MBA program here at WGU. For Tasks 1
and 2 of the simulation in the C216 Capstone class, I learned three main competencies. The first
one was from C207 Data Driven Decision Making, Competency 3009. 1.6: Improving
Organizational Performance. I really utilized this competency when I was adjusting the tactical
plan during quarter 4. This was especially true when adjusting units demanded by salesperson,
operating capacity, lost sales, and excess capacity. If one section is too high, then it throws the
other categories out of balance. However, this section allowed me to display my skills and
improve the organization by adjusting the numbers. For example, the way I had it originally set
was too much demand, but with my skills I was able to see that it either needed to be brought
down or we needed to increase capacity.
The next competency that helped me with the simulation is from C215 Operations
Management, Competency 3016. 1.4: Operating Efficiency. This competency entails
implementing systems in order to improve operating efficiency for the company. With that being
