1st Interview with the client, Mr. Kuczyński
Dawid Plona: Can you describe your problem?
Client: Of course. It's been a while since I set up my business and yet I found out it is becoming less
and less profitable. That is why I seek a simple solution, preferably in the online form that would
allow me to attract new clients and increase my profits.
Dawid Plona: So what sort of an online solution would you find the most appropriate?
Client: I’ll have you prepared a website connected with database, accessible both to me, as an
administrator, and my customers.
Dawid Plona: Do you have any programming language or programme in mind?
Client: No, whatever suits you, just make it transparent, simple and usable, preferably easy to
maintain and feature paid advertisements within.
Dawid Plona: What features do you expect?
Client: First of all, the website is supposed to be primarily an advertisement of my company.
Therefore, it need not have any payment options, it should rather serve as a platform where users
may post their things for sale, contact each other and arrange the payment method on their own.
That is why the website should mention me, as the owner, somewhere at the bottom, so that it
promotes my company subliminally. The website's interface should be transparent and symmetric,
do not overwhelm the user. There should be some minor quality of life features, such as current
time display, responsiveness or scroll-up button. It is really up to you, just make it comfortable to
use. Customers should be able to register and log in to the site. Everything must be safe and
protected from data leak. The site should be accessible to me as an admin who is in charge of
everything, and to the clients as regular users. The users, including me, should be able to register,
coordinate their auctions, offer things for sale, message each other. They should be also allowed to
delete or modify their accounts and details. I want this website not only to be used as a way to sell
my products, but primarily as a campaign - easily accessible online and free auction website, which
at the same time promotes my company. Moreover, I want to use it as a simple tool to identify
current and timeless market trends and potential active customers. Therefore, there needs to be
an option to generate various reports, which include crucial data and its processed form, such as
price or category summation. I must be able to print those reports, so try to implement them in a
form that would suit this purpose. Finally, the entire website must be as secure as possible and
maintain some level of privacy.
