healthcare system's fault. We are getting better, but still falling behind other
countries.


What is the quality of the healthcare system like? Answer - We have the
highest rate of deaths preventable by healthcare and higher rates of errors
made by medical professionals. While we have gotten better we still have
higher preventable hospital admissions than other countries.


What is the cost of healthcare system like? Answer - We have a higher cost of
healthcare than other countries, but don't get the same quality or amount.
Other countries spend approximately 11 cents per dollar on healthcare, while
we spend approximately 17 cents on healthcare per dollar. We have fewer
doctor visits and hospital stays because we spend more money on other things
like certain procedures and drugs. We are getting better though.

,What is access to the healthcare industry like? Answer - People delay going to
the doctor when needed because of the high cost. 91% of the U.S. population
si now insured while other countries have universal healthcare.


What are the four parts of the healthcare industry diagram? Answer - 1)
government oversees all aspects of healthcare
2) patients (controlled by payers) (when answering questions about this make
sure to list the patients because it is patients categorized by the payers.)
3) health-care providers
4) peripheral entities


2nd part of the healthcare industry diagram: patients (controlled by payers)
Answer - This is in order of how good their payment method is from best to
worst:
Employer insured
individual market insured
CMS medicare
CMS/State medicaid
uninsured (when answering questions about this make sure to list the patients

promote and protect the health and safety of all Idahoans. They take care of
Medicaid
Food Stamps
Child Protection
Disease Protection. The specific department is the Idaho department of Health
and Welfare.


Public Health Answer - It is focused on the provision of healthcare services by
the 'government'-federal, state, county and municipal. The U.S. The
Department of Health and Human Services is a part of it. Within that is the
division known as the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. They are in
charge of administering the medicare program nationally and helping to
coordinate with individual states about their respective Medicaid programs.The
pinnacle of this type of health is the secretary of health and human-services.

deal with these parts of the department a lot of the time.


Private Health Answer - This is my major. There are six types of healthcare
provider organizations in this sector:

Physician clinics or medical group practices and Urgent Care clinics.

they and what do they deal with? Answer - Acute Care Segment and Long-
term Care Segment: The Acute Care segment is hospitals, ASCs, Clinics, and
Medical groups. Their purpose is to diagnose, treat and CURE. The Long-term
Care segment is patients' homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, skilled
nursing facilities. Their purpose is to help with basic and instrumental ADLs.


What are the main governmental organizations that comprise the Public
Healthcare sector? Answer - A part of this is The Department of Health and
Human Services is a part of it. Within that is the division known as the Center

What does it mean to be part of a multi-hospital system? Answer - Two or
more hospitals owned, leased, sponsored, or contract managed by a central

Explain the multi-hospital system diagram. Answer - Primary care clinic refer
patients to secondary care hospitals, secondary care hospitals refer to tertiary
care hospitals. This all happens if they can not perform the services needed at
their facilities.


What is a integrated healthcare network? Answer - a group of hospitals,
physicians, other providers, insurers, and/or community agencies that work
together to coordinate and deliver services.
