Suggested Solution:
After reading the scenario and coming up with a few solutions I have concluded that only
one solution would be the best overall for the employees and the company. I would suggest to
the higher management that they need to give the employees the option whether they want to
move or not and the chance to freely search for other employment options within the timeframe
as there might be cuts. Furthermore, I would emphasize that company should give the
employees ample time to think about the decision and what may be at stake. On the company
side of things, it will have more risks than the employees. This is due mainly to the location and
what the culture is like. I would recommend that the company look for a location within the
United States or Canada in order to accomplish their overall goal. But if Mexico is where they is
the only choice I would recommend that there should be a plan in place for the safety of the
employees and company. Also, I would make it a point that no elderly employees get selected
for the transition due to the air quality. To top off the suggested solution I would say that this
new location could be a made into a tour zone. Where the employees could go to this location
for 1 year then return to home station for a period of time and rotate through the whole employee
staff. These solutions would be very achievable and could further the company’s progress in
time. This could likely produce a win-win situation in where employees are happy, and the
company is able to attain its overall goals. All while keeping code of conduct and the company’s
mission and vision in mind.
