Unit 27 : Work Experience in Business
Learning Aim C: Reflect on work experience undertaken and its influence on own personal and
professional development
C.P5 : Review own strengths and areas for development during work experience | Task
1(a) – Report
[ Insert a copy of your feedback from your work experience employer, below is what mine looked like, would look
better if you scanned it in]

During my work experience I learnt numerous things about the fitness industry. One interesting fact is that over the
past few years, there has been an increase in demand for health and nutrition supplements. When they first came
out, they were primarily consumed by body builders, however, due to recent trends, more and more people are
paying attention to different ways of living healthier.

Overall, I feel as if my work experience at the gym was very insightful. It helped me to gain more experience of the
working world. During my time there, I feel as if I did everything I could to the best of my ability.

One personal development that I want to improve on is my confidence in the workplace. This is because being
confident in the workplace allows you to be more proactive ad more focused. It will help you make better decisions
with your work which will then in turn benefit your future.

One professional development that I want to work on is my knowledge in the sports industry sector. If I am serious
about pursuing a career I this industry, then it is important that I do all the research necessary – the early the better
– because within the industry there are so many different career paths and different sectors and I need to find the
right one for myself.
