• To introduce students to the first conditional for talking about
future experiences/events that are likely to occur
• To highlight the difference between future simple and present
Lesson Type: Grammar Lesson Aims: simple.
• To get students to engage in both controlled and freer practice
using the first conditional to talk about future events likely to
occur
Students will show understanding of the first conditional (how to use
this as well as its various functions)

A2 (Late elementary/ Students will practise writing sentences of their own and be able to
pre-intermediate) distinguish between present simple and present perfect via
Level of Class: Lesson Objectives:
controlled practice activities
Teenagers (14-16 years old)
Through a board game, students will practice using the target
language when speaking freely.

Students would be familiar with: present simple, present continuous
and past simple for verbs as well as with will for future
occasions.
Nationality/First Students would know grammar terms, e.g. negative form, auxiliary
Chinese Assumed Knowledge:
Language: verb, certain tenses, subject etc.
