ALL ABOVE BULLET POINTS IN RED
YOU’VE ALREADY COMPLETED IN YOUR SESSION PLAN, SO USE THIS AND
REWORD IT IN AN EVALUATION BELOW!!
The aim of this session is to work on tackle technique and rucking technique. Within this aim, there are other
objectives which are to improve one on one tackling, improve 2-man tackles, improve speed to get back into a
defensive line and to improve one on one rucking. The target of this session is to make sure that all the participants
involved are more confident when tackling and rucking in matches and this will mean that they can tackle and ruck
with the correct technique.
The aims in this session have been hit because all the drills were completed to a very good standard and it will
prepare the team enough for their next game. I could increase the amount of time they train for and supervise them
more when they are doing warmups and cool downs to make sure that they are doing it well enough to prepare
them for the training session and then relax the muscles afterwards.
Here are the SMART targets that I created to make sure that the team got everything they could out of the training
session:
Specificity- This session is specific as it just focuses on two areas in rugby which are tackling and rucking. Also, there
are only two or three drills in each area so the session can improve specific techniques in each area.
