Used A Multi-Syllabus Lesson Plan. Alberto Said That He Would Like To Use
Authentic Materials And That He Enjoys The Topics Of The Environment, Science,
Technology And Current Affairs, And That He Needs To Improve His English To
Help Him To Get A Job. He Wants To Improve His Conversational English As Well,
Not Only For Work Purposes, But For Travel And Social Contexts As Well. A Multi-
Syllabus Lesson Will Let Me Utilize Multiple Platforms And Keep Alberto Interested
Through Using Associated Collocations, Phrases And Idioms With His Intrinsic
Motivations For Improving His English.

In The Needs Analysis Questionnaire And The Video Interview Alberto Said That
His Motivation To Improve His English Is To Progress In His Work And Also To Have
English Conversations With His Friends And It Will Help Him To Communicate
Better When Travelling. This Is Why I Include The Topic Of Travel In The Small Talk
Section And In The First Hour Of The Course Plan. However, The Rest Of The Course
Plan Focuses On Work, Because For Alberto This Is More Important. He Mentioned
Work And Employment A Lot More In The Video Interview And In The Needs
Analysis And Makes It Clear That It Is His Primary Focus.

The Target Skills For The Student Are Pronunciation, Speaking And Listening
Because Alberto Struggles With These Skills In The Video Interview And They Are
Listed As Important Skills To Him On The Needs Analysis Questionnaire. Alberto
Also Did A Lot Of Grammar Classes With His Previous Teacher And It Is A Strength
Of His So I Feel I Do Not Have To Focus On This As Much Because If I Do I Will Be
Disregarding Alberto’s Desires And Needs And Ignoring What He Communicated
Clearly In The Interview And The Questionnaire. I Will Make Sure That I Am Very
Creative And More Flexible In Teaching Alberto Because According To Him His
Learning Experience With His Previous Teacher Was More Structured And Based
On A Course Book With A Lot Of Group Work In The Classes. I Will Now Use A
More Tailored Approach With More Fun Activities And Authentic Materials In Our
One-To-One Environment. This Is Why I Have Chosen To Structure The Course Like
This:

1. Speaking & Listening (Small Talk): In This Activity I Will Learn More About
Alberto And His Strengths And Weaknesses, Such As Pronunciation. This Stage Is
Important Because It Will Create A More Comfortable Teaching And Learning
Relationship Between Me And Alberto. Also, I Will Be Able To Identify His
Weaknesses More Clearly Through Listening And Model Through Speaking. It Will
Also Create Interest And Engagement For Alberto Because It Will Be A Topic That
He Likes And Is Familiar With. I Choose Spain In The Topic Because Alberto Is
Familiar With This Country And It Will Make Him Comfortable And Keen To Share
Information With More Confidence. Also, This Small Talk Will Help Alberto Will
Improve His English Conversational Skills And Give Him More Practice And
Confidence In This.

2. Speaking (Pronunciation Of Common And Work-Related Terms): The Correct,
Accurate And Confident Pronunciation Of Words Is Very Important For Alberto
Because He Wants To Grow In The Work Environment, And This Will Make This
