AAFP 2024 Board Review
Positive TB skin test and treatment for children ages 2-11 - Answer-Threshold for a positive test:
- 5mm in 48-72 hours I'd recently exposed to someone with infectious TB.
- 10mm off at increased risk for TB
- 15mm for those with no known risks
Treatment for children 2-11:
- 10-20mg/kg isoniazid daily for 9 months
- or 20-40mg/kg isoniazid twice weekly 9 mo
Shellfish allergy and IV contrast? - Answer-No relationship, patient can still get IV contrast
Pain and weakness while pushing against resistance revealing weakness on internal rotation of the
shoulder (placing hands on the back with elbow at 90 degrees and inability to keep hands away from
body)... suggests year of which tendon? - Answer-Subscapularis (this is called the internal lag test) - this
is also involved with adduction of shoulder
Tendons involved with external rotation: infraspinatus and teres minor
Abduction of shoulder: supraspinatus and deltoid
What is FeNa and urine osm in SIADH? - Answer-FeNa > 1%
Urine osm is elevated
