1. Chief Complaint
“Pain and stiffness in my right knee for several months, worsening with
activity.”
2. History of Present Illness
The patient is an 83-year-old female presenting with chronic right knee
pain, progressively worsening over the last 6–12 months. Pain is
described as a dull ache, exacerbated by walking, climbing stairs, or
standing for prolonged periods. She reports morning stiffness lasting 15–
20 minutes. No history of recent trauma, fever, redness, or swelling. She
reports occasional knee instability and difficulty performing activities of
daily living (ADLs). No previous knee injections or surgeries.
3. Past Medical History
• Hypertension
• Osteoarthritis (diagnosed 5 years ago)
• Hyperlipidemia
• Mild chronic kidney disease (Stage 2)
