Managing a business event
Introduction
Business events could be defined as normal operations for the organization that reoccurs as a business
process which will help the organization in automating business practices.

A business event is a custom raised by al code it defined a formal contract that carries an implicits

Role of Organizers in a business event
An event planner structures an event, coordinate all of the moving parts, and makes sure everyone has
a good time. Also called convention and meeting planners, they do everything involved in making sure
these events go smoothly, including choosing locations, hiring caterers, entertainment, and other
vendors.

An event organizer is responsible for planning, managing, and organizing sensational events in the most
efficient and cost affective way. Other events that fall into their work description include product
launch; gigs; fashion or music shows; promotions; business or educational seminars; and charity
fundraising events.

Importance of a business events
Business events are important for increasing brand awareness as well as they help connect with
customers face to face. Meeting with your clients face to face is the best way to build trust and tell your
clients that they are your center of focus.

Proper event management planning is vital for any successful event. The EMP is the document that
establishes how all the distinct moving parts and disparate elements of your event will work and result
in your event being safe and enjoyable. If we're planning it and managing it, we follow the same process
every time.

Impact of a business event
Business event can impact life or growth of company in various ways. When a company or organization
organize an event, they introduce themselves to the market. They build relationship with various like-
minded people and companies. It can provide them with an opportunity to interact with people from
different fields and help them explore new ways to expand their ideas. They meet people from different
departments and discuss different situations which, eventually, help them in long term.

It can also help them generate revenue through different channels. They can charge people to be a part
of an eventful evening and generate revenue. They can conduct different workshops for students and

, people who want to learn and charge them for a mutual benefit. Among different stunts there is
another advantage; it also help local and multinational company to attract a bigger audience at one
platform. They can address the audience and introduce their products and services all at once.

Another draw that can attract audience is free drinks and dinner. A dinner with like minded people can
help you grow as an entrepreneur. People can show creativity by organizing small stalls etc. An
entrepreneurship meet up is all organizations need for training and growth of their employees. There
could be speakers there who can connect with the audience and motivate them to explore new things.
Business event can affect in different ways and can leave a huge impact on the audience.



Role of an event organizer
An event needs to be managed well if it wants to achieve its goals. Event management involves a whole
heap of tasks; from the mundane and simple to the stressful and complex. Any event wanting to deliver
maximum results needs a good Event Manager

Duties/Roles of an event manager
Event Organizers are responsible for planning and coordinating events. Depending upon the company or
organization, the type and size of an event can vary dramatically. You may be involved with a large
annual event or you may organize smaller events within a museum. Event work is generally broken
down into three key areas: Marketing, Sales and Operations. These functions allow the life cycle of an
event to be covered in its entirety - from concept to delivery. Each function is very different.

Marketing – General activities include; market research, generating event interest, designing and
printing literature, creating promotional campaigns, public relations, developing event partnerships…

Sales – General activities include; selling event space and advertising opportunities to exhibitors, both
on the phone and face to face, organizing sponsorship deals…

Operations – General activities include; planning and coordinating the practicalities and logistics of an
event, negotiating and managing supplier contracts and relationships, onsite liaison with workers,
sponsors, exhibitors and visitors, dealing with health and safety issues…

The role of an Event Organizer is challenging and whichever function you choose to specialize in, you will
need certain fundamental skills in order to succeed.
Ideally you should:
 Be able to deal with people on all levels
 Possess excellent communication skills
 Be organized
 Have good time-management skills
 Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
 Possess good negotiation skills
 Able to manage budgets
 Possess a positive outlook
