Introduction
A computer virus is a type of malicious program designed to disrupt normal operations, steal
data, or damage systems. It spreads through infected files, email attachments, USB drives, and
the internet. Understanding different types of viruses and their effects is essential for computer
literacy and protection.

1. Boot Sector Virus
Explanation:
Infects the master boot record of storage devices. It activates when the computer boots.
Example: CIH/Chernobyl virus.

2. File Infector Virus
Explanation:
Attaches itself to executable files (.exe, .com). Whenever the file runs, the virus spreads.
Example: Cascade virus.
