This paper consists of three (3) pages.
Instructions:
1. You have a maximum of 4 hours to write this take-home
examination starting on 29 May at 14:00 and ending at 18:15.
2. This examination consists of FOUR (4) long essay questions
from which you must CHOOSE TWO to answer.
3. Each essay counts 50 marks. The exam paper total is 100
marks.
4. This is an open-book examination, and additional research is
outlined in the guidelines provided.
5. Clearly indicate which option you have selected.
6. Please ensure that you tick (‘sign’) the Honesty Declaration text
box. If you fail to do so, you would not be able to upload your
examination answer file.

7. Ensure that you have downloaded the Invigilator App
proctoring tool. This is a requirement for you to complete the
examination. Note also that TURNIT-IN will be used to
determine whether plagiarism has been committed.
8. Ensure that your paper is saved as a SINGLE FILE in PDF
format, only.
9. Do not encrypt the answer file with a security code.
10. Scanned pages must be saved as a SINGLE document and
converted to PDF format, only. (Refer to the ‘Student Guide on
‘How to Scan and Prepare handwritten Exams’). Before
scanning, ensure that all pages are numbered correctly.
11. Ensure that the answer file whether TYPED or SCANNED
does not exceed the stipulated 20MB limit, otherwise it will not
upload. (Refer to Student Guide on ‘How reduce a file size or
compress a PDF’).
12. Ensure that the answer file is completely closed when
uploading otherwise it may get ‘corrupted’.
13. Preview the file before uploading to check that you upload the
correct file.
14. In case you submitted the incorrect file, you will be given a
maximum of two (2) opportunities to resubmit via the
‘eAssessment Tool on myExams’ (Please do not abuse this
function).
15. If any hint of PLAGIARISM or the use of AI is detected, the
necessary disciplinary action will be taken against you.
16. Please ensure that you submit the portfolio on the scheduled
date and time. Minor leeway will be granted to upload your

answer file taking into consideration possible challenges you
may encounter.
*NB: Students who fail to submit within the scheduled session times
on the day of the examination will be marked as absent.

other sources may be accessed. If the use
of other sources is detected, you will be
severely penalised.
•PLAGIARISM OF ANY KIND WILL
NOT BE TOLERATED. The use of AI
applications / programmes is not
permitted.
