,Introduction
My manger has tasked me to research and develop a report on the
different types of project managements and the types of methodologies
used I will research and evaluate 3 types off different projects and will
explain the stages for how project development works, I will explain the
requirement different roles and methodologies like PRINCE2 RAD and
Waterfall all this will be managed in the report itself.
, P1
Explain projects definitions
What is IT Project
IT project aims to help achieve a goal with the use of technology the aim
is to create, implement and help improve technology solutions, IT project
can have a wider range off projects them being software development
improving network infrastructure or setting up hardware.
What is Project Scope
Project scope helps set the foundations to the project it defines what the
goals are the deadline and how the project will be delivered the purpose
off the scope is to make objectives and help the team work with out any
delays, the project scope can break down the project in to smaller bits
allow for more adjustments and better time management. (Martins, 2024)
Project life cycle
the project lifecycle consists off 5 steps them being initiation, planning,
executing, monitoring and closing these steps will help increase the
efficiency and will set an outline for the projects the lifecycle can change
depending on how big or small the project it self is but these steps apply
to all of them below I will go into more description about each step.
5 Main Stages of the project life cycle
Initiation
this is the first step to the project life cycle in this stage there will be to
broadly define the project it self to start off the Initiation stage there first
should carry out research and work out the overall goal off the project
itself, In the methodology PRINCE 2 the initiation stage is recognized as it
there should be a risk assessment taken outlining the issues and risk
which may occur during the development off the project this risk
assessment should be for the business and the stakeholders and how this
project could affect them if gone wrong. The stakeholder are individuals
who are interested in the project and want to see the outcome and may
even fund the project itself this is why it important to show them the risk
that they are taking beforehand. (Eby, 2023)
Planning
This is the stage of planning the project as suggested in the title this is
where the scope of the project is outlined in this stage a timeline is
required to have a plan of each step when working on the project itself
also a more risk need to identify. One of the methodologies which will be
