53 new WORK PSYCHOLOGY questions
Hello! Thank you for showing interest in my questions. I did my best to make
questions that are relevant, somewhat enjoyable, and covering the most
important aspects of the curriculum.
Every chapter and article we had to read I have made some questions about. At
the end you can find the answers, in which I sometimes explain how I got them.

I hope you find this helpful!

Examples:
1.Chapter 10. Bob has never as much as stolen a pen from his company before. He has the flu
right now, yet is still found behind his desk checking emails past 5pm. He is highly motivated to
perform well for the company and the fun and engaging task he received. What is going on with
Bob?
a. He is probably paid very well, and afraid to lose this
b. He is probably very satisfied with his job, and highly committed
c. He probably experiences the pressure to overperform
d. He wants to be away from his cheating wife and feral children, and is definitely
lying about the pen.

2. WOODS AND WEST CH 4. Types of commitment. You have three types of commitment:
Affective, continuance and normative. Which fits this description best? “Staying at a company
because it is good to not job hop all the time”

3. In the article on personality tests, four key points were discussed. Which is not one?
a) The research is only applicable to the selection process
b) The validities to predict job performance are low and stayed like that over time
c) When evaluating the usefulness of personality tests to select applicants, one
must not look at the observed, uncorrected validity.
d) When discussing the value of the test, the most important criteria are those that
reflect job performance.
