In a recent real-life case, an applicant for a position at a financial services company
underwent a series of psychological assessments as part of the recruitment procedure.
The assessments included aptitude, personality, and interest tests, all of which were
administered by an industrial psychologist. The purpose was to measure competencies
such as analytical reasoning, conscientiousness, and interpersonal effectiveness. The
test outcomes were then combined with interview results and reference checks to guide
the final selection of the most suitable candidate.
