1. Share with the class what division you examined:
The field of practice that I thus explored and analyzed was the
specific leadership and advocacy care issues within APA (American
Psychological Association, 2024) Division 19: Society for Military Psychology. The
Society for Military
Psychology (2024) is a very detailed peer-reviewed journal regarding the
involvement of Military and Veteran affiliates as the target populace. The
journal (2024) has given current evidence of proven research studies and
practices that are vital and significant, especially for the military and veteran
affiliate populace. The military and veteran populace is a unique culture in
which the culture and environment in which it resides is highly structured,
commanded through ranking and authority of well-suited government
officials and legislative ruling in the variant armed forces organizations
controlled with the ultimate goal of providing high safety and protections to
the United States of America. Within the military and veteran-cultured
psychological field of practice, I experienced many issues concerning lack of
support, accessibility, congruencies, and timely responses that furthered my
interest to not only improve my care with advocated change to successfully
and effectively be made actualized but as a Thought Leader expert in the
knowledge and skills for research, policy, and organizational change to be
provisional of all Military and Veteran affiliates needing more improved
experiences and appropriate modifications of their care in the behavioral
sciences field of practice.
2. Share what research constructs (i.e., leadership, ADHD, COVID,
loneliness, telecommuting, forgiveness) seemed to be most popular right
now in your subfield:
The most popular concern or issue relevant in the current Military and
Veteran Psychological field of practice is the experience of frustration,
loneliness, anger, and felt discouragement acquired by the viewed military
and veteran populations. The lack of continuous consistency, reliability,
accessibility, and confidentiality from within the specified organizational,
departmental, and treatment relational facilities, their multifaceted
leadership roles, associated staff roles, change of command, and ranked
officials’ responsibilities accounted for their attitudes toward hierarchal
chaos, with a sense of entitlement, judgment, ridicule, and power struggles
made as a cyclicality issue that demands reprieve from all participants within
the military cultured environments (service members, retirees, veterans,
family members, staff, leadership figures, associated mental healthcare
departments, as well as within the Department of Defense and Veteran
Affairs’ organizations). The construct defined with the military and veteran
organizational and leadership issues is more broad and abstract, thus
making the definition of such issues a complex matter with many influential
, variables and determents that are involved to truly manipulate the desired
and needed change for the Military and Veteran culture and environment to
have the appropriate positive change within the psychological scope of
practice to be organized and have actions of success in its formally ran,
highly structured and involved complex system as successfully and
effectively processed.
