This guide is designed to help you prepare for your naturalization interview. The
interview has three main parts:
1. Review of your N-400 Application: The officer will ask you questions from your own
application to verify your information.
2. Civics Test: You must answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly from a list of 100 potential
questions.
3. English Test: You must read one sentence aloud and write one sentence dictated by the
officer to demonstrate English proficiency.
Part 1: Review of Your N-400 Application
The officer will ask you yes/no and personal questions based on the information you
provided on your Form N-400. You must answer these questions truthfully and under
oath.
Common Topics and How to Answer:
Personal Information: "What is your full name?" - ANSWER ✓ "[Your Full Name]"
Residency: "How long have you lived at your current address?" - ANSWER ✓ "I have
