1.1 Identification of Bullying Instances (2 marks)
Malebo Primary School identifies bullying by training teachers
and staff to recognise signs—such as verbal taunts, exclusion,
or physical aggression—and through observations during
lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities. Counsellors and
peer mediators also flag concerning behaviours when they
arise in mediation sessions or counselling appointments.
1.2 Reporting Mechanisms (2 marks)
Learners can report bullying in three ways: directly to their
teacher, to the school counsellor, or anonymously via the
online reporting system. Peer mediators also serve as a
confidential channel for learners to disclose incidents.
1.3 Communication of Policies and Procedures (2 marks)
The school communicates its anti-bullying policies through
regular assemblies, the quarterly newsletter, and updates on
the school website. At the start of each year, orientation
sessions introduce parents, learners, and staff to the policies,
which teachers then reinforce in their classrooms.
