D295 WGU Task 4: E-Learning Design for 3rd Grade Addition Lesson
, Designing Opportunities for Assessment and Feedback 1
A. Plan an e-learning experience as part of a lesson for students in a K–12 population by
doing the following:
1. Identify the following components of your e-learning experience:
• topic of the e-learning experience- Addition using base 10 blocks
• Description of the e-learning experience- Students will synchronously meet on google meet
with the teacher and will participate in breakout sessions where they solve different
addition and subtraction problems using the base 10 block method on a digital
whiteboard. They will then practice what they have learned through a kahoot game. After
the kahoot game, students will individually complete a google form where they use a
base 10 block manipulative to solve addition and subtraction problems.
• grade- 3rd
• learning goal- Students will be able to add and subtract 3-digit by 3-digit numbers by using
base 10 blocks.
• learning objectives- Students will demonstrate their understanding of addition and subtraction
through the use of the base 10 block method.
• academic standards- CCSS.Math.Content.3.NBT.A.2- Fluently add and subtract within
1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations,
and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
B. Provide one learning objective from your e-learning experience, and explain one
formative assessment students could complete to build understanding of one concept
or one skill related to the learning objective.
