Educators in Business Studies need to take careful note of certain requirements in their
planning and teaching beforehand. Describe these requirements as discussed in the Study

Business Studies teachers should:
1 Have a good knowledge of their subject
2 Formulate clear aims and outcomes so that they themselves and their learners
know exactly where they are going
3 Be familiar with the various approaches in Business Studies and also the
sequence in which the material should be presented, and then select the most
meaningful approach and sequence
4 Be familiar with and use teaching methods that encourage effective,
participative learning
5 Be aware of what teaching media are available and know when and how to use
them
6 Be able to assess learning, to maintain a high standard and to use evaluation to
improve the quality of their teaching
