What is the HOSA motto? What does it mean to you?
The Hand's of HOSA Mold the Health of Tomorrow. The motto means to me that we should be
putting passion and dedication into the work that we do so that we can better others and improve
the health of tomorrow
Someone at your school asks you , "what is HOSA? how would you respond?"
Aside from explaining what HOSA stands for and how it's an organization for students who want
to follow a career in healthcare. It's an opportunity to meet new people and form positive
relationships with those who have similar goals in mind and grow as a young professional.
As a state officer, if given the opportunity to speak with a policy maker, how would you
describe and promote HOSA?
HOSA is an organization that brings students together who all want to make a difference in the
future of healthcare. Students in HOSA build leadership, teamwork, and professional skills
through community service acts. that are priceless. HOSA also provides members with the
opportunity to apply for scholarships.
What are the three best reasons to get involved in HOSA?
1. HOSA allows you to build friendships with people who have similar interests and goals as you

What leadership quality is the most important for an officer? Why?
In my opinion, there is not a single quality that is most important because leaders should be well-
rounded with many qualities such as being open-minded, positive, dedicated, and confident.
Describe your leadership style and experiences you have had as a leader.
, I would describe my leadership style as being very open. I want to here everyone's opinions and
thoughts and want everyone to feel like they can contribute something to the situation. I tend to
take charge in group projects at school, but I've also had experience as a leader in HOSA and
student council with the projects and fundraisers that we take on.
What motivated you to run for an officer?
I've always enjoyed HOSA, the people I've met from it, and everything HOSA stands for. I think
that HOSA has helped me grow as a leader and I hope that as an officer, I can continue to grow,
but also impact others the way HOSA impacted me.
Describe a difficult situation you have encountered as a leader and how you handled it.
Why do you want to be a HOSA officer?
I've always enjoyed HOSA, the people I've met from it, and everything HOSA stands for. I think
that HOSA has helped me grow as a leader and I hope that as an officer, I can continue to grow,
but also impact others the way HOSA impacted me.
What are your career goals? How will you achieve these goals?
I want to be a doctor, but I don't really know if I want to be a surgeon or a physician and what
specialty. I want to keep an open mind when going into medical school so I don't want to box
myself into anything. I'm going to achieve this by continuing to work hard in with my school
work. Also by staying interested in current health care issues and having the curiosity to learn
more and better myself.
What courses have you enjoyed most in your health science education courses? Why?
I'm bad at picking favorites but I think I like human body systems the most because of the
dissections. I'm definitely a kinetic learner being able to see the parts of the kidney but cutting
one open and labeling helped it to make an impression in my mind.
If asked to speak to a career fair for potential students about your health science program,
what would you say?
I would describe it as the perfect fit for students who want to go into health care and also for
students who are interested in biology because the health science program does so many more
