Budget proposals and cycles - ANS a budget proposal should be professional and organized,
easy to follow, and fully researched and documented. Understand the process for developing a
budget usually begins a full year before the beginning of the fiscal year.
Request for Proposals (RFP) - ANS For large or complex purchases, including facility and
computer systems, the department may use a request for proposal. An RFP provides a formal
process to solicit goods or services through a procedure determined by the governing financial
body.
Capital expenditures - ANS purchase of equipment, displays, apparatus, etc.
Personnel Evaluations - ANS Review of performance objectives (established year ahead of
review), Discuss actual performance and any discrepancies, Allow feedback (anticipate
employee's reaction), Plan of Action
Employee performance review and evaluations - ANS Be specific, use descriptive rather than
evaluative language, review both positive and negative behaviours, do not overload the
employee with too much information, set goals together, be honest, remember the "halos and
horns" effects as explained in the chapter Evaluation Assessment and Reflection(one unrelated
but strong and outstanding characteristic or impression has an effect on other aspects of
evaluation), Check for understanding.
Educations programs - ANS School-based programs are those activities that support specific
outcome objectives of a curriculum presented within a school system.
