Biology: Cell Parts
By R.M.T
Cells are considered the “unit of life”, every single living thing you can
think of is made up of cells!
Fun Fact: The human body is made up of trillions of cells, they provide
structure for the body, take in nutrients and carry out specific
functions.
Importance of Cells:
Cells are an important building block in life, it’s responsible for
reproduction, growth, repair and regeneration and adaptation.
Parts of The Cell:
Mitochondria
- Mitochondria is considered the “powerhouse of the cell”. Creating
energy otherwise known as Atp or “adenosine triphosphate”.
Nucleus
- Nucleus serves as the “command center of the cell”, which is like the
brain, responsible for the cell’s activities.
Cytoplasm
- Cytoplasm is where all the cell parts are in, it’s a jelly-like substance!
Excluding the cellular DNA and nucleus.
