Question 1
The aim of question 1 is to enable you to demonstrate your ability to plan the integration
of digital tools in teaching.
Task: Plan a lesson or teaching strategy that integrates digital technology.
Describe how you would ensure it is effective for your students.
Introduction to Financial Ratios Using Google Classroom and Kahoot!
1. Integration of Digital Technology
I would use Google Classroom for sharing materials and fostering discussion.
Kahoot! for an interactive quiz at the end of class. For me Google Classroom will host
the lesson slides, worked examples, and allow students to ask questions in the
comments section in real time (Mishra & Koehler, 2006). Kahoot! will serve as a
formative assessment tool to check understanding of key ratios, giving instant feedback
and motivating students through gamified learning (Wang & Tahir, 2020).
2. Planning for Effectiveness
Pre-class Preparation 5 minutes, Post a short video (3 minutes) on Google Classroom
explaining what financial ratios are. Ask two simple like think-pair-share questions in the
Classroom comments to activate prior knowledge.
