This question paper consists of eight (8) pages.
Instructions
1. This portfolio aims to test your knowledge of the learning outcomes for this module.
2. Answer all the questions.
3. Download the portfolio from myModules and save your answer file.
4. Your answers to the questions in the assessment should be typed in Arial font size 12 with
1,5 line spacing.
5. Although we prefer that you type your assignment, you may submit a handwritten
assignment by printing this document, completing it by hand, scanning it and uploading it
onto myModules. In that case, however, please write legibly.
6. Use the template to complete the assessment. Should you choose to type your own
assessment or to submit a handwritten document, please ensure that you number your
answers correctly.
7. Only PDF documents are accepted on the submission portal. Ensure that you upload only
one document, since the system accepts only a single document and not individual page
submissions.
8. Your answers should be clear and legible. If you submit a scanned document, make sure that
your answers are not blurry.
,9. In-text citations and a list of references are compulsory, even if you use the study guide and
prescribed textbook as references. Every additional source that you consult should also be
referenced.
10.Referencing should be done according to the Harvard referencing method. An example of the
Harvard referencing method is included under Additional Resources on myModules.
11.Do not copy text directly from any source (including the study guide), since Unisa’s plagiarism
policy is applicable to this portfolio. Plagiarism will not be allowed and may result in
disciplinary action.
12.The use of artificial intelligence (AI)/ChatGPT to complete the assessment is not permitted; it
is regarded as a form of plagiarism.
13.Take note of the mark allocation for each question, since it will give you an indication of the
number of facts that you should discuss. Make sure that all the questions and sub-questions
are clearly numbered. You don’t need to copy the examination questions. Complete the
declaration of honesty and start working on your portfolio by numbering each question.
14.Your assessment will be returned to you online once it has been marked and finalised, and the
Assignment Department will inform you of your results.
15.Please ensure that you submit the declaration of honesty.
16.Please ensure that your PDF document is not encrypted in a secured mode, password-protected
or infected with a virus. If the marker cannot open your file, you will be awarded a mark of
zero. The same rule applies to an image file.
17.Submit your answers in one PDF or Word document by using the Assessment tool on
myModules.

STEP 1: Save the downloaded template file.
Save your answer file as follows:

STEP 2: Complete the declaration of honesty.
Complete the declaration of honesty by entering your personal information and saving the
changes.
STEP 3: Complete all the sections of the portfolio.
The portfolio consists of the following sections, which you must complete:
• declaration of honesty own work (copy/retype/rewrite and complete)
• portfolio questions (answer and complete)
• list of references (referencing of all sources consulted)
• self-assessment checklist (copy/retype/rewrite and complete) These sections should all
be saved in one PDF document.
STEP 4: Ensure that you complete all the tasks in every section.
Complete the checklist at the end of the portfolio before converting the document to PDF and
submitting your portfolio.
STEP 5: Submit your portfolio.
You need to submit your answer file online through myUnisa. A paper-based, emailed or
posted document WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please note that an image file will not be
marked – you will be awarded a mark of zero for it.
Turnitin: All written assessments are subject to a similarity check through Turnitin. During the
submission of written assessments, you may encounter Turnitin errors that reflect an error such
as “Failed” or “Queued”.
Once the Turnitin report has been processed, a percentage will be reflected, indicating the
similarity index of the assessment.
