1.1 Introduction

My name is Thabo Molefe. I live in Mahikeng, in the North West Province of South
Africa. I am in my twenties. I do not have any children. I am currently a full-time student,
pursuing my studies through UNISA in the field of psychology and education.




1.2 Five Biggest Problems in My Community

1. High youth unemployment – Many young people have completed school but
cannot find jobs due to a lack of work experience or job opportunities.
2. Substance abuse – Alcohol and drug abuse, especially among youth, is on the
rise due to boredom and lack of recreational facilities.
3. Teenage pregnancy – Many girls fall pregnant while still in school, often due to
limited sex education and peer pressure.
4. Crime and gang violence – Break-ins, robberies, and youth gangs are common,
often linked to unemployment and poverty.
5. Poor access to healthcare – Many residents cannot easily access clinics or
hospitals due to distance and lack of transport.
