1. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK launched a nationwide vaccination program.
(a) What type of immunity is provided by vaccination? (1)
The graph below shows two sets of data: the total new deaths per day in the UK and the total
number of COVID-19 vaccines administered over the same period.
(b) Calculate the percentage increase in new deaths per day at the peak periods of the pandemic in
