Wilderness First Aid - ANS the immediate care given to an injured or suddenly ill person and
consists only of giving assistance until a more advanced level of medical care is present.

, Negligent Abandonment - ANS is sometimes defined as the unilateral termination of the
provider/patient relationship at a time when continuing care is still needed. It is a form of
negligence that involves termination of care without the patient s consent.
Medically Incompetent - ANS Incapable of making a rational decision
Consent - ANS is needed before touching someone, the two types of consent are verbal and
implied.
Prolonged Evacuation - ANS the extended duration of an evacuation

Post traumatic Stress Disorder - ANS an emotional reaction that may include frustration,
depression and flashbacks
Hepatitis B - ANS a severe form of viral hepatitis transmitted in infected blood, causing fever,
physical weakness, and jaundice.
AIDS - ANS Disease in which there is a sever loss of the body's cellular immunity which
lowers the resistance to infection.
HIV - ANS disables immune system, preventing the body from fighting infections.
