Introduction

In this report, I will investigate the staging of several successful events to determine
common success factors and see how each one was successful and what their
common success factors were. I will give facts and figures to support my points as to
why I believe certain events were successful.

Business event - iPhone 13 launch

The iPhone 13 series was announced on September 14 at the company's annual
launch event, with pre-orders opening on September 17. (1) The iPhone 13 release
date was September 24,
and unlike with 2020's
iPhone 12 series, it was
possible to buy all the new
handsets on the same day.
The way Apple launched
the iPhone was to show the
iPhone was bought from the
future which builds an
image in the audience mind
and makes the event
successful. This resulted in
the excitement of the product with a huge price starting from £779. The marketing
strategy was amazing for Apple and did engage its customers. Apple did their
product launch in Apple Park in Cupertino, California where all the apple products
are designed. This helped as it created a feeling for the consumer of something
brand new and never seen before which has made this event a big upcoming
excitement. However, due to covid-19 Apple did not invite anyone to the iPhone
launch event instead they went online on different platforms and millions of people
were watching live from their homes. (2) The manager of the agency who is called
David Hargreaves did Apple’s public relations and mentioned that the iPhone 13
reveal in the brand-new auditorium created the best environment for the consumer to
display the new iPhone.

Another strategy Apple has emitted was the old tease of teaser leaks within the
media. This was on purpose as it built a whole lot of interest to the consumers to
spread the word. Thousands of videos and posts were released on social media
before the actual launch. This had created a huge interest which made the pre-

orders increase and the trend of the videos made the Android and other phone users
switch to Apple. I was an android user myself for many years but this new iPhone 13
launch did its magic through its ads and all the unique features that this new iPhone
has made me switch to apple. I believe that Apple has these magnetic ads which pull
the audience towards them. The iPhone 13 launch was the biggest Apple product
launch in history. because it introduced a new iOS update and a cinematic mode
where the customers can record 8k video and edge to edge screen. It was a
tremendous success and it sold 45% more than the previous record even when the
price was nearly £945

Sport and recreation events - Boxing match (KSI vs Lagan Paul ll)

KSI vs. Logan Paul II was a boxing match between the British YouTuber Olajide
William Olatunji and American YouTuber Logan Alexander Paul. The fight was a
rematch of the previous boxing fight between the two, which ended in a majority
draw. (3) On Saturday night, the YouTubers with a mixed following of 40 million will
fight in front of an expected sell-out crowd of 21,000 at the Staples Centre in Los
Angeles, USA. Millions more will watch on pay-per-view television and. They are
both very famous YouTubers, but they own different markets of the YouTube
community. Logan Paul got his start with uploading vlogs every day while KSI began
as a gaming YouTuber who then moved on into music. It does not seem possible
that these two would cross paths to the point where they would want to fight each
other in a boxing ring.

point. He likewise said it did more purchases than any previous UK pay-per-view this
year, as well as Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr.
