Unit 4 Managing an event - Assignment 2
M2 - Assess the feasibility of the event proposal
(1)A feasibility study is an analysis that takes all of a project's relevant factors into
account; including economic, technical, legal, and scheduling considerations to
ascertain the likelihood of completing the project successfully. Project managers use
feasibility studies to discern the pros and cons of undertaking a project before they
invest a lot of time and money into it. It is a standard process for recognising issues
and opportunities, creating objectives, describing situations, defining successful
outcomes, and evaluating the costs and advantages of various solutions to a
problem. The event we're proposing is a simple social event in which we'll offer
various cultural foods to students and staff to raise funds for the charity.
Our main objective is to collect money for the charity. Furthermore, for the event to
be successful we want everybody who will come to have a nice time. At the end of
the day, we hope to have raised roughly £300, which will be donated to the charity.
Our objective is to make everyone who will attend the event pleased and have a
good time for the event to be a success. This, I believe, will be easily accomplished if
we are committed to delivering nice, warm food and relevant ideas, such as
appropriate activities in which the students may participate and have fun with us.
Having great support from people outside the team, such as people from different
classes and teachers, can also benefit our planning event because they can assist
with advertising the upcoming event to raise awareness among as many students as
possible, resulting in a high probability of large numbers of attendees on the event
day.
The goal of the event is for students to enjoy themselves by trying various foods from
other countries with their friends while participating in activities. We will focus on
raising money for charity in addition to the other objectives. I believe we made the
right decision since it will make our event go more smoothly because we chose to
contribute money to a cancer research charity that already has a solid reputation and
is well-known. People will be more likely to support the event if they know we are
raising money to benefit others rather than for personal gain. Our event will be held
to generate funds for a good cause. Because we have picked a charity that is well-
known and well-loved by many people, I believe that picking this goal will make our
event quicker to succeed. Also, if you're attempting to raise money for a good cause
rather than for personal gain, people are more likely to want to support the event,
which includes negotiating pricing with suppliers and convincing students to buy
raffle tickets which we have planned to raise money.
The location is within the college, along a hallway where students frequently hold
and walk through while entering the canteen, during lunch, and when leaving. This
location is quite attractive and might be very effective in attracting students' attention.
Making this event in the main corridor is exciting since it will be seen by the entire
campus before they leave or enter the college. We chose college as the site since it
is convenient for us, has a larger possibility of success, and students would have an
easier time finding us. In addition, there is a lot of accessibility in college, for
example, the college has a specific entrance and a large space where a person may
come in and walk about without having to struggle. The funds will be donated to a
charity store. Raffle tickets are an excellent way to raise funds since they are simple
to get. Also, this is possible because if people understand that the money will be
