In my introduction to my E-commerce class I was ushered into the world of both customer
experiences tethered to enterprise advancement through a new medium introduced as Web 2.0.
Gathering a new understanding of how enterprises were able to leverage this advancement in
connective technology to ultimately raise customer satisfaction which would return revenue for the
businesses who wield this new advantage to their favor. To accomplish this, enterprises both small and
large must first establish a avenue for a customer to reach out and communicate to a larger community
of other customers for reviews and support as well as with the customer support or research and
development teams of businesses. This is possible through blogs, websites and social media platforms,
though most successful enterprises use websites to reach a wider audience. The APACHE HTTP services
yield this ability as a free form service for both new and established enterprises. I will go over my
experiences in both researching and using this technology in depth in this essay.
Preparing The System And Software For Download
Part of week twos assignments was to load APACHE to my operating system from third party
websites that make to deployment much easier through binary packaging rather than direct source code
from the APACHE site. I used Apache Lounge as a site to do this as writing source code is not a specialty
of mine. This was done through a simple .zip file that compressed the source code and its run software.
While the download website was full of warnings and requirements for ensuring that any files loaded
were official source codes, navigating them was tedious and nerve racking. Apache Lounge boasts it
“has provided up-to-date Windows binaries and popular third-party modules for more than 15
years. We have hundreds of thousands of satisfied users: small and big companies as well as
home users” (Download VS17).
I was able to understand the requirements for loading this file and executing it in the systems main
operating file drive. In researching I found that the minimum operating system requirements for running
