In order to recruit for the Sales Manager role, I would recommend using LinkedIn and Indeed
as the sourcing channels. LinkedIn is a website used by professionals to network, find new job
opportunities and can even be used to develop skills needed to be competitive in the job
market. Using LinkedIn as a sourcing channel allows you to find job seekers and passive talent
by filtering searches on the website based on the skills, education and experience the
recruiter is seeking. This allows recruiters to narrow their search and find qualified active and
passive candidates. Indeed, is a job board that allows
companies to post open requisitions to job seekers. Using Indeed as a sourcing channel can be
expensive but it allows for a large number of job seekers to view the companies’ open
requisitions and apply for those roles. This sourcing channel can be used as an advantage
because it increases the number of candidates you have for a role.
B. Explain two communication tactics that should be used to communicate effectively
to job applicants during the recruitment process after candidates have submitted
their application.
, Communicating effectively with candidates can lessen the confusion and failure in the
recruitment process. Recruiters can communicate effectively by making sure they are listening
to the candidates and asking relevant questions. Listening to understand will allow recruiters to
know exactly what candidates are looking for in their next role and this will allow them to
further weed out if a candidate is or isn’t fit for the role the recruiter is looking to fill. If a
recruiter is not actively listening to the candidate during
the recruitment process, they could extend an offer to a candidate that is disinterested in what
the company has to offer. While recruiting for the Sales Manager role, the recruiter for Jaunty
Coffee needs to make sure they are actively listening to the candidates to be certain that they
are picking the best fit candidate for the role. Another communication tactic the Jaunty Coffee
recruiter should use is asking relevant questions. Recruiters must understand the specific needs
of candidates and in order to do that, they will need to ask relevant questions. An example of
this would be asking a candidate to define what career success means to them. People have
different ways to define success in their career but the relevance lies in what your candidate
beliefs and meanings are. Asking relevant questions will allow the recruiter to further dive into
if a candidate is the best fit for the role.
