CQ Pro Assessment Results:
The CQ Pro Assessment supports my leadership effectiveness by highlighting my strengths
in navigating diverse cultural situations. My top score in CQ Knowledge shows I have a strong
understanding of how cultural differences shape behavior and thinking, particularly in areas like
Values & Norms and Leadership. This aligns with my leadership style, as I prioritize inclusivity
and ensure that diverse perspectives are respected. Growing up as a Mexican American farm
worker, my parents migrated to Minnesota in the summers to work the sugar beet fields. We
lived in poverty, and I often missed school to help in the fields. Growing up in a small town, I
faced a lot of bullying for where I came from and the hardships we experienced. These early
experiences instilled in me a strong dislike for racial or cultural injustices, and they shaped my
passion for advocating against those issues in my leadership. As a leader, I focus on creating
environments where everyone feels valued, and I’m driven to bridge cultural gaps to create
inclusive spaces for both my team and clients. My background and education, including my
, ongoing multicultural training as a counselor, have further developed my ability to manage
relationships across cultures.
Additionally, I scored high in CQ Drive, reflecting my motivation to engage in multicultural

fairness and equality, which pushes me to ensure everyone has a voice. However, the assessment
also revealed that I can improve in CQ Action, meaning I could be more intentional in adjusting
