Introduction
I have been asked by my manger to investigate how well my college follows the legislations acts. I
must include in this report the different legislation that have been used and how they have been
used and I must show clear evidence of how they have done this. I must also provide things that the
college have not done so well on.
Information gathering.
I walked into the college looking for things the college has followed and thing the college haven’t
followed. I also took photographs of how the college put things in place to follow the legislation.
Around the college I spoke to a few people about how the college provides safety to them and
students around them. I also asked how the college provides a safe clean environment when they
are studying.
How well legislation and regulations have been satisfied.
The college have followed lots of legislation to provide a safe learning environment for the students
who attend the college. This could be anything from walking through the college and any workshops
the students will be in if they are taking a specific course.
The management of health and safety welfare
The college has well followed the management of health and safety welfare. For instance, the
college has provided classrooms which are matching the required dimension of the legislation. The
college has room where they could move around with ease and there is enough room for each
student. The following picture that I have taken proves this.
Furthermore, the college has provided windows and transparent walls which you could see in the
above image. Also, in the image there is lighting which also comes under the legislation and the
college provided it.
The college has provided drinking water with cups which is in a clear and opened space which is
placed around the college. The water is provided in a container which is refillable. I have used the
water before, and it’s always been fuelled so the college must be filling on a regular basis.

Furthermore, the college has met this legislation as it has provided the students and staff with a
cafeteria where they could rest and eat. In the cafeteria there is chairs and tables to sit down on. In
the cafeteria the college staff and students can buy hot food, snacks and drinks.

is also clean and tidy.
Finally, the college has provided lift for those students and staff that are not able to walk upstairs.
This means the college has met the management of health and safety welfare.
