Nursing has evolved in great ways over the years! I remember hearing about nursing being a job
given to women, who would take basic care or the patients (bathe, dress, clean the patients home,
etc.) Now a days nurses are not specifically a women’s job. Nurses have a long list of duties that
define “providing care” where care doesn’t have to be in person. Nurses can even prescribe
medications independently under certain circumstances.

Implementing evidence-based practice in nursing bridges the theory-to- practice gap and delivers
innovative patient care using the most current health care findings. When you use the principles
