According to the GCU Library Guide for Social Sciences https://libguides.gcu.edu/Counseling,
what are some of the best sources to find reliable research information related to behavioral
health and/or psychology? What are some resources that you have previously used that you
now consider questionable?
Hello class and professor,
According to the GCU library guide, sources like empirical articles, peer reviewed
journals, primary sources, and scholarly sources (Grand Canyon University,
2022). The GCU Library has a large database for us to use to find credible
sources. I think sources like bettertherapy.com, goodtherapy.com, etc. should
be taken with more grains of salt than a peer reviewed article that we would
find in the GCU library. This is not meant to
discredit the articles or the author's credentials; however, .com websites tend
to have less safety nets for editing.
