CANS definitions and acronyms
Assessor - character who works with the children/caregiver and others to complete the
CANS assessment. Responsible for getting into assessments into the CANS IT device
Assessor ID - assessor wishes to self check in within the CANS IT system
BH Provider - Behavioral Health issuer
CABH-COE - Child and adolescent behavioral medical institution of excellence
CANS - toddler and adolescent wishes and strengths
CME - Care Management entity
DODD - Department of Developmental Disabilities
FCFC - Family and Children first council
IHBT - Intensive Home Based Treatment
MCO - Managed Care Organization
MRSS - Mobile reaction and Stabilization offerings
NPI - National issuer ID
ODJFS - Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services
OhioRise - Resilience via integrated systems and excellence - medicaid managed
application for kids and young people with behavioral fitness wishes
OhioRise Waiver - offers additional services and supports to enrollees that aren't in any other
case protected under the state plan AND provides an opportunity for at chance youngsters
who aren't otherwise eligible to become a part of the Medicaid software
OHR Plan - OhioRISE plan
PCSA - Public Children's Services Agency

Praed Foundation - non-income basis that certifies assessors and holds the replica-write to
