By visibility ONLY.
With no visibility published, you may depart IFR with as low as 1/2sm.
What is the departure procedure?
Cross 35' above the departure end of the runway.
Climb runway heading to 400' AAE before turning.
Maintain a climb gradient of at least 200' per nm to minimum altitude.
What does 1/2 departure mean?
IFR departure will be assured of obstacle clearance if you comply with 35, 400, 200 rule.
What does * departure mean?
Referees to minimum takeoff visibility and specific procedures that if followed, will assure obstacle
clearance.
What does NOT ASSESED mean?
The departure has not been assessed for obstacle clearance. Depart in VFR conditions or calculate
minimum climb gradient/routings.
