Introduction
Purpose:
The purpose of the report is to determine if housing prices in my regional market are
higher than the national market.
I'm also investigating if square footage for homes in my region is different from the
average square footage square footage for homes in the national market average.
I’m using a statistical approach.
My random sample:
House listing price and foot Square footage for West North Central
Hypothesis:
Housing prices in my regional market are higher than the national market average.
Square footage for homes in my region is different than the average.
Sample:
My random sample is house listing price data for West North Central.
It includes states, countries, House listing price, Cost per square and foot Square footage
Questions and type of test:
1-Tail Test
Hypothesis:
The population parameter the average $ per square foot of nation which is $ 288,407
Null hypothesis: H 0 : µ ≥ $ 288,407
Alternative hypothesis: H 1 : µ< $ 288,407
My significance level is 0.05, which indicates a 5% risk of concluding that housing prices in my
regional market are higher than the national market average.
