projects page ANS displays the surveys you've created and surveys shared with you. Here you can
create new surveys, sort them, glimpse the status of each, and delete surveys.
Track Project Status ANS Opening Qualtrics and clicking Projects takes you to the Projects landing
page where all of your surveys are listed. After each project's name is a dynamic set of information that
updates based on the status of your surveys:
Status (New, Active, or Closed)
Number of Questions
Number of Responses or Languages
Estimated Response Time or 12 Day Trend
One-Click Actions Menu ANS Three small dots on the far right of the project name opens the One-
Click menu of common operations. You can activate, collaborate, rename, or copy a project from this
menu. Other options include editing, previewing, translating, distributing surveys, and viewing reports.
,Delete Projects ANS Delete a Project from the One-Click menu. Qualtrics will caution you by asking
for a confirmation:
Read the Delete Project warning. Be sure you don't need any of the data or reports from this project.
Select All data related to this project will be permanently deleted.
Click Delete Project.
View Buttons ANS Toggle between the two View buttons to condense or expand the way project
names display. The first option reveals the most status updates per survey. The second displays more
projects in the list.
The Sort By menu can display projects how? ANS alphabetically by project name or by modification
date. You can also sort by owner, group, project type, or by the date the survey was created.
The first time you pick an option from the Sort By menu (such as Last Modified or Project Name) your
projects will be listed in ANS descending order
To reverse the list to ascending order... ANS choose the same option again and the list will flip upside
down.
what do you mark your critically important surveys with? and how? ANS a star. Display Starred
projects by clicking Starred in the Sort By menu.
To add a question to a survey... ANS click Create a New Question.
how can you recover deleted questions? ANS from the Trash at the bottom of the survey.

To change question types... ANS Go to the Editing Pane (on the right of your question).
Click Change Question Type.

The Editing Pane automatically customizes its options to match the newly selected question type.
Actions section of the Editing Pane ANS lets you Copy, Move, and Preview questions. One option
lets you place questions on separate pages.
To create Page Breaks: ANS Scroll to the Actions section in the Editing Pane.

Descriptive Text and Graphic questions don't have... ANS answer choice options. only texts and

Matrix Table questions can collect more information than Multiple Choice options because... ANS
you can condense several questions into a single display.
The most common Matrix Table question is built upon the ANS likert scale.
But others, like Bipolar and MaxDiff, are also available from the Editing Pane.

character limits to restrict response length.
, Rank Order ANS determine an order of preference for a list of items by respondents selecting a value,
typing in values, or dragging and dropping answers into a rank order.
slider ANS Slider questions use a draggable bar to indicate preference and are an interactive
alternative to Matrix Table questions.
what should you do to style sliders? ANS try bars, sliding handles, or stars. Set minimum or
maximum values. You can even add labels or alter the number of visible grid lines.
Side by Side ANS Side by Side options ask multiple questions in a condensed table. Each column is
treated as a separate question possessing its own structure, format, and choice options.
how does qualtrics save your projects? ANS automatically whenever you click outside of a question
or move to a different section.
should you have qualtrics in multiple tabs at a time? ANS no, this may interfere with the Autosave
and override changes.
what happens if you don't autosave and the browser times out? ANS Most browsers have a timeout of
about an hour. If you're working on a question and don't autosave save within that hour, the browser may
time out and your unsaved work may be lost.
what do you do if you accidentally delete a question? ANS restore it by scrolling to the bottom of
your survey and finding it in the Trash. Select the question, then select Restore. Restoring a deleted
question from the Trash will bring back deleted data associated to that question.
what are versions? ANS Versions are snapshots of your survey at a point in time. Create a Version if
there are changes you want to save or return to later. Then, you can restore your survey to this or other
previous versions at any time.
qualtrics periodically saves Versions for you.
